Buying Beginner Skateboards

When buying beginning skate boards for adults, it is important to get the proper equipment.  More adults are taking up skateboarding everyday, and there are plenty of companies that have met the need with appropriate skate boards for adult beginners. So there is no need to pick up a cheap $20 board from Walmart with a cartoon character on it.

Leave those for the kids, and select a quality skateboard that will respond well and be safe for an adult. Adult beginner skateboards are not all that expensive and are worth the investment.

Below are some good adult beginner skateboards:

MiniLogo Complete Skateboards

The Minilogo is made by Powell, a well known and respected skateboard company so these are high quality skateboards. They are made without graphics so they are cheaper and as a result it gives them a clean, simple look. You can buy one of these for around $99.

Golden Dragon Complete Skateboards

The Golden Dragon skateboard is made by SkateOne. They use some of the same parts as Angelboy skateboards but the graphics appeal to an older skater. These skateboards are made in China and sport Chinese style dragon graphics. The Gold Dragon will cost you around $70.

Andy Mac Zon Complete Skateboard

The Andy Mac Zon is made by Andy MacDonald who is a professional skateboarder. He designed this model with beginners in mind. It is a high quality skateboard that is affordable. This is one of the cheapest of the quality adult beginner boards and will cost you around $60.

Now that you are looking at skateboards, you might as well shop for complete boards. They don’t cost a whole lot more than the adult beginner skateboards. You could get one for around $120. The advantage to buying one of these is that you can choose your options. You can select the wheel size and harness, length and width of the board, truck height, and even choose your own graphics.

When you are beginning, the best thing to do is just buy a skateboard that you like based on appearance. Once you have used it awhile, you will understand how the options come into play and then you can pick out a skateboard to fit your particular skating style.

When you are ready to buy your adult beginning skateboard, you can find them at your local sporting goods store. You can also shop for them online where you can compare all the features and prices so you get the best deal.
